MacSysAdmin 2012-Logs, Damn Logs and Statistics

I'll be speaking at this year's MacSysAdmin Conference. So that people can listen without feeling the need to quickly copy everything down, I've prepared this handout that contains everything I reference.

Download it here:

PSU MacAdmin Handout

I'm giving a presentation at this year's Penn State MacAdmin Conference. So people can pay attention and don't have to scribble notes, here's a complementary document that contains notes and links to everything I talk about in the presentation.

MacTech Conf 2011 Intro Playlist

Once again, I had a lot of people asking me about the music I chose for MacTech Conference. The idea for the Intro Playlist is that it entertain people while waiting for the initial opening of the conference. It's timed so that as the final song plays, Neil, Scotty and I can get up on-stage with no worries of changing, muting or stopping the music. Here's what I played this year:

Macworld IT881 Notes

I'll be giving a presentation at Macworld 2011, A Week in the Life of Google IT. So people don't have to furiously scribble down notes for the things we mention, we've created a PDF of every product/project/whatever we mention in the presentation. Get it here:

Managed Prefs Presentation in NY

I've been meaning to mention: I'll be giving a talk about Macintosh managed preferences (related to the book) at the monthly Tri-State Chapter of the Apple Consultants Network.

This takes place on the 2nd of September at 6pm at Novaworks in NY. If you're an ACN member, I hope to see you there. If you're not and would like to attend, ping me via e-mail.

Presentation: Dev Tools for Sys Admins, Wed, 2 Sept 2009

I'll be giving a presentation at the Tri-State meeting of the Apple Consultants Network titled, "Dev Tools for Sys Admins." I'll be recording this talk and have attached some resources here for those attending. Bring a laptop as portions will be hands-on.

Macworld 2008 Session Videos Posted

As mentioned in my initial posting, full video of Macworld sessions would be made available. Well, it looks like certain sessions have been made available. Thus far, only my collaboration session has been made available:

IT812: Using Collaboration Services on Mac OS X Server

MacWorld 2008 Session Slides Posted

At a session, people always ask if I'm going to be posting the slides. While I always do, I have long said that slides without the talk are typically of little use. Apparently, this year, all sessions but the "Power User" sessions will be available for download - slides and audio - for free! Exciting!

If, however, you just can't wait, I have both of my session slides available here:

LI222: Learning the Terminal ("Basic Foundation in Command-line Skills as it Relates to OS X")
